Demon Slayer Blind Bag Experience: The Quest for a Full Set.

If you’ve ever dived into the world of blind bags, you know the thrill of not knowing what’s inside until you rip it open. Recently, I went on a blind bag adventure, I picked up 10 Demon Slayer Kata-zun bags on a deal hoping to snag Nezuko. Here’s how it all went down, with a twist that kept me on the edge of my seat!

I had ten blind bags in total, each promising a potential treasure. The possible contents were Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu. My mission? To find Nezuko. Here’s the breakdown of my experience:

Bag 1: The first bag had a little weight to it. With a quick rip, out came Zenitsu. Not quite what I was hoping for, but still cool!

Bag 2: The second bag had a familiar feel. I opened it up, and it was Inosuke. So far, the hunt continues.

Bag 3: Excitement was building. I tore open the third bag, and—Zenitsu. I was getting a bit hopeful now.

Bag 4: The fourth bag was a bit of a letdown—it contained another Inosuke. I was expecting doubles so not disheartened yet at this point, the anticipation was really kicking in.

Bag 5: The fifth bag held a surprise. It was Nezuko! Usually what's anticipated to be the most popular is the rare so I expected all the boys before her. Somehow I had no Tanjiro.

So from here with 5 bags left I hoped to complete the set, to pull Tanjiro!

Bag 6: The sixth bag gave me a familiar sensation. I opened it to find another Nezuko. Unexpected ! But where was Tanjiro?

Bag 7: With fingers crossed, I opened the seventh bag. It was Zenitsu again. That’s three Zenitsu so far. Could Tanjiro be hiding among the remaining bags?

Bag 8: By now, I was really hoping for a change. I opened the seventh bag, and—yes!—it was Zenitsu. Still no sign of Tanjiro.

Bag 9: I was down to just two bags and my heart was racing. Was Tanjiro really the rare here? The ninth bag revealed him- Tanjiro! The chase was over.

Bag 10: Now I have sitting here this final unopened bag. I don't want to open it for fear of another Zenitsu, but for now I don't know what I'll do with it.

So, out of the ten bags, I ended up with two Nezuko, four Zenitsu, two Inosuke, one Tanjiro, and one extra unopened bag. The thrill of unwrapping each bag, the suspense of not knowing what’s inside, and the ultimate joy of finding Nezuko only to re-route the hunt for her brother at the end made the entire experience unforgettable.

Blind bag openings are a rollercoaster of emotions—from anticipation to delight. If you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend giving it a go. These particular ones allow one of the few ways to get a popular Takara Tomy line in the US. Who knows what surprises await you? Happy Collecting!
