Exciting New Additions to Takara Tomy's Kata-zun Line

Takara Tomy’s Kata-zun line is renowned for its silly-but-adorable designs and high-quality.

Kata-zun are easily recognized from their iconic pose. In English these are often referred to as "sleepy" but Kata-zun is more like "dere" referring more to a situation then just "sleepy". Anyone who watches anime has seen it, when an overly exhausted character feels comfortable enough around someone that they give in and pass out; their head landing on the shoulder of their companion. The kata-zun line, while they can stand on their own, is made to be paired with another so it leans sleepily against them.
The latest additions are set to captivate fans with a diverse range of themesbranching away from anime. The new releases include some of the most beloved characters from popular Disney franchises, promising to add a fresh and exciting dimension to the Kata-zun collection.

New Releases in the Kata-zun Line

1. Lion King Series

Dive into the savannah with the new Lion King additions. This series brings Simba, Nala, Timone and Puma to life, or to bed. Each figure captures the charm of the characters with intricate details and vibrant colors, making it a must-have for fans of the beloved movie.

2. Disney Villains Collection

For those who prefer a darker twist, the Disney Villains collection is perfect. Featuring the likes of Mother Gothel, the Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, and Dr. Facilier, this series showcases the complex and memorable antagonists of Disney’s animated universe. The figures are designed with impressive detail for these small toys.

3. Minions Series

The Minions are back with their trademark humor and mischief. This series includes figures of the lovable, yellow creatures in overalls. Whether it's Stuart, Kevin, Bob, or Otto these figures bring the playful spirit of the Minions straight to your collection.

4. Harry Potter Collection

Step into the magical world of Harry Potter with the newest Kata-zun figures. This collection is the second time Harry Potter has joined the Kata-zun collection and features Dumbledore, Snape, Sirius Black, and Remus Lupin. Not the most exciting for someone just starting; having none of the main crew, but must-haves for all ongoing collectors.

The summer has seen more Kata-zun additions in the past couple months featuring World Trigger, Alice in Wonderland, and the particularly hilarious Jurassic World set.

Meanwhile these may be difficult to find in the US, but if your a fan of Demon Slayer, this set can be found at GameStop if you're lucky.

Takara Tomy’s latest additions to the Kata-zun line demonstrate a commitment to the style from both fans and Tomy. The summer brought a variety of new figures offering something for every collector. There's no doubt the line will continue to hold in popularity.
