New Gashapon this Week from Bandai (8/25)

 Hey everyone!

So I previously mentioned Bandai releases so many gashapon that there could be weekly updates. Hope you didn't think I was kidding! Bandai is dropping another lineup for long time fans this week. This latest drop features some incredible characters from Dragon Ball Z, Chiikawa, Cardcaptor Sakura, Undertale, and Inuyasha. Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

Dragon Ball Z

This one's for the more dedicated fans, or those who love photography and dioramas. Decorative figures rather then characters: expect to find items like Vegeta's armor, Goku's 4 star Dragonball, a siabaman capsule, 2 versions of Shenron's statue, and a scouter.

Chiikawa

A more recent phenomenon that some in America may be unfamiliar with. Chiikawa, the adorable, chibi-style characters have had people in Japan lining up and camping out like it's a new console release. These figures are bound to add a touch of cuteness to your collection with their charming designs. That is, if you can find them before they're sold out.

Cardcaptor Sakura

The highly fashionable Sakura is making an appearance through the jemlii line.  Jemlii are a type of Capchara meant to be a jewelry dish. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the beloved magical girl series, the set includes Kero, Spinel, and 2 different Sakura figures.

 Undertale

You might think it's a bit late in this indie hit's lifespan to be getting gacha merch but Japan didn't get an official translation of the game until years after it's release. So it got a bit of a second wind on the other side of the world. While you might be excited to see this old favorite in capsule form you may be a bit disappointed to find it's just rubber keychains.

 Inuyasha

Rumiko Takahashi, one of the top earning mangakas of all time, and one of the rulers of 90s anime, has been making quite the return after somewhat disappearing after 2008. Inuyasha has returned with a completion to the original series and now a sequil. So it was just a matter of time before he appeared in gacha. Inuyasha, Kagome, Shesshoumaru, and Shippou join the nemurasetai line or, "I want to sleep". Unlike Tony's Kata-zun line, these ones really are sleeping!

These gashapon are a great way to grab some awesome collectibles without breaking the bank. Keep an eye out for them at your local stores or online, as outside of Japanese they can be hard to find.

Happy hunting!
