Crane and Kitsune, a new Anime Arcade coming to East TN

 Hey everyone!

I’ve got some exciting news to share that’s been in the works for a while now. You know, the kind of news that makes you want to shout it from the rooftops because you’re just too excited to keep it to yourself. So, here it goes: I’m teaming up with Rhythm Crane, a new name for him as a new blogger and long time arcade aficionado, whose been in his business since around 2010. I'm very lucky to meet someone with more experience than me to start Crane and Kitsune, our very own anime themed arcade company!

For those who don’t know Rhythm, he’s a powerhouse in the gaming rental world. He's been all across the country with his machines which, as you might guess, is how we met. He brings all kinds of games to the table but has a true love for rhythm gaming or in other words, those giant arcade machines like ddr, in the groove, Taiko drum master, or the more recent dance rush. His blog is newer than mine, he knows much more about things like coding then me so he's still putting all the shiny features on his blog. We’ve bonded over our shared love for gaming, and one event we were boothed side-by-side. Throwing around thoughts, as people do when you've got lots of time, we had this wild idea: We both deal in Japanese products that go hand in hand, why not build our own arcade?

After countless brainstorming sessions, some more serious then others, late-night talks about arcade machines, a Gacha wall and gimmick cranes, and maybe a few too many cups of tea, we’re making it happen. We’ve secured a location that has just the right mix of retro charm and modern flair, and we’re working on curating a lineup of games that will make both old-school fans and new players feel right at home.

Our goal is to create a space that’s more than just a place to play games—it’s going to be a community hub where everyone can come together, hang out, and just have fun. Though it may not all be available from day one our ultimate goal is rhythm arcade, a Gacha wall, snacks and maybe figure statues. With his connections we hope to bring some unique games that you won’t find anywhere else. Plus, we’re planning to host events, tournaments, and maybe even some clubs. To start, and to help pay the rent as we setup, we're working on a Gacha subscription box.

Starting this arcade has been a dream of his for a long time, and a solid location and hang out spot mine, so partnering up is a way to make all those dreams come true. We can’t wait to share more details with you as we get closer to opening. In the meantime, if you have any arcade games or toys you’re dying to see or ideas for what you’d like in a perfect Japanese arcade experience, drop us a line! We’re all ears and super excited to hear your thoughts.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thanks for being part of this journey with us. For now check out Crane and Kitsune, follow our socials, and when it comes up take a look at the subscription box. Eventually if Rhythm finishes nit picking his blogs look check him out too. Here’s to a future filled with great games, amazing people, and lots of fun!
